Want to hear the reactions of the pros to the first page of your manuscript?

Plan now to attend the BCRW's HOOK 'EM FROM PAGE ONE workshop. This is your chance to better understand how editors and agents review submissions. You may hear what our panel of editors and agents thinks of your work.

Only 90 spaces are available and space will fill quickly. Send your reservation now.

If you would like your manuscript to be considered for evaluation by our panel, we must receive your workshop fee by March 24, 2008. Once you have registered, you will receive information on how to e-mail your first page to our coordinator. Please do not send your page with your registration.

One entry per person only . We will read as many as possible, but there is no guarantee your first page will be one of those read . We expect to have time to read 10 to 15 first pages. The pages read will be chosen randomly from the submissions received by the April 1, 2008.

The workshop fee must be received by March 24, 2008 to have your first page considered.

SCHEDULE:

1-1:30 p.m.: Editor introductions. Editors will discuss what they are currently seeking
1:30-3 p.m.: First pages read and evaluated
3-3:30 p.m.: A chance to socialize and meet the editors

FEES:
BCRW members: $10
Non-BCRW members: $15
